Before staffing or budgeting a change management workstream on an SAP
implementation, the first question every PMO and consultant has to answer is: how
much organizational change management effort does this project actually need?
Guessing, or applying the same OCM budget to every project regardless of its
actual risk profile, is one of the most common and costly mistakes in SAP change
management.

This Excel-based assessment answers that question directly, and addresses the
related questions that come with it: Is this project complex enough to need a
dedicated change manager? How much resistance should we expect from stakeholders?
Is the strategic visibility of this project high enough to require senior
sponsorship? Should we prioritize internal resources or bring in external change
management support?
